Connecting Your Custom Domain (DNS Setup)
Point your own domain (e.g., yourbrokerage.com) at your AgentLoft site. The process is a short DNS exercise, and we do the heavy lifting.
The process
- Tell us your domain. Email support@agentloft.com with the domain you want to use. The team prepares your site for it and sends you the exact DNS records to add.
- Add the records at your DNS provider (GoDaddy, Cloudflare, Namecheap, etc.) — typically an A or CNAME record for the site, exactly as provided.
- Wait for propagation. DNS changes usually take effect within an hour, but can take up to 24–48 hours to propagate everywhere.
- We confirm the site is live and SSL is active on your domain.
Tip: If your DNS is on Cloudflare, mention it — proxy settings there can affect verification, and we'll tell you exactly how to configure the records.
Moving from an old website
Keep your old domain's rankings by redirecting old URLs to the matching pages on your new site. The team sets up redirect rules as part of your cutover — send us your old site's key URLs (or a sitemap) and we'll map them.
Common questions
- "My old domain still shows in the admin" — after a domain change, ask support to remove the old domain from your account.
- "Is my site down?" — if your site stops resolving right after a DNS change, it's almost always propagation or a mistyped record; double-check the records against what we sent, then contact us.
